So one of the students that works in our ISA office, his family owns a very nice salon in Lima, so today we went over there. I got my hair cut for S./ 30 and a french tip manicure for S./ 15... which comes down to a whopping $15 total. And they all look amazing! I love Peru!

I had similar low cost amenities in Thailand. It was really a good deal to get a new pair of glasses for just a few dollars. Plus, my fav was ordering a full course meal at my restaurant for just a few dollars. My mouth is still watering and my eyes still can't believe what was on my plate. FOOD! FOOD! FOOD!
ReplyDeletehaha yes! i realized that i have in my mind converted to thinking i soles, which $1 = 3 peruvian nuevos soles, so i feel like i'm spending so much money, until i divide it by three and realize i just paid $12 for an all you can eat sushi buffet!
ReplyDeleteI had an all-you-can-eat sushi buffet in Vancouver BC for $20 Canadian (probably about $16 US at the time) and I thought that was a great deal. You got me beat. Yummy!
